Focus On The World

Pastor Sandra Zynomirski and I had a very profitable trip.  Pastor Sandra is the Pastor for the Day Care at Peoples Church, Hamilton.   It was a packed two weeks of ministry.  Sandra spoke at one session for parents on Disciplining Children With Love. It was the first time that they had teaching on parenting. She also conducted seminars for teachers at the Christian school in Quarry.  Those sessions were attended by two other women who operate day care centers. She then conducted a separate session for teaching on day care operation. There was great appreciation for the teaching and the gifts that were given out.  We also held seminars for Christian Education workers and again, there was deep gratitude. Sandra also had a chance to teach the children at one of their Vacation Bible School sessions.
We ministered at two sets of five-day meetings in two areas in the capital city. While I taught the adults, Sandra ministered to the children, in the evenings as well as in Sunday School.  In the first area, the attendance for the children in the evening services went from 61 on the first day to 170 on the last day.  The pastor was amazed.  Most of those children were from homes where their parents are not Christians. 114 children prayed to receive Jesus as their Savior!! Praise to His name.  Total attendance of children was around 1,200.

We both spoke at lunch-hour services.  It's wonderful to see how people use their lunch breaks to gather for another church service.

At the request of our host Pastor Brown, I stayed on for an extra twelve days and went to another area.  I spoke at a conference and also in four churches and a women's meeting.  God met with us. As a result of being in that area, I was invited to minister in Tanzania.

During the trip, individuals were saved [six adults came to faith in Jesus]   Some  were filled with the Holy Spirit, healed and set free from demonic oppression.  One little girl about 8 years of age was gloriously healed. At the end of the final service in Quarry, people waited to have prayer for various needs.  This girl was the last person in line. She suffered from headaches. After much prayer, she was free and the headache was gone. God's power prevailed.

It was wonderful to be able to pray for individuals privately and watch the Lord minister to them also.  We are grateful to Him for using us in His service and for bringing us back us safely East Africa.
