Focus On The World

Nigeria, West Africa [November 2009]

Lots of  traffic even at  late hours of  the night,  friendly people, busy marketplace, excitement everywhere!  I  really was  in Nigeria.  It was  the  first  International Gathering  of  Eagles Conference  in Lagos.  I  thank God  for Pastor  (Dr) & Mrs. Dada who were  the conference hosts.
For several years  they have been pastors  in Toronto and  they host  the conference here. They invited me to join the team that was speaking at the Lagos Conference.
The Conference  had  dynamic  speakers  and  singers  from Nigeria, UK  and North America.
We were blessed with excellent teaching and music ministry. The ministers of the Gospel, church leaders and others who attended were happy to be there. There was a peaceful  sense of God’s presence.  It was  a blessed  experience.  The  fellowship Pastor & Mrs Dada with our hosts, local leaders and the visiting guests was rich.

I had the privilege of speaking on the topic, “Building Discipline Into Our Lives” and it was well-received.

Other Places

God gave me the opportunity to speak at three churches. The local pastors and congregation were  very welcoming. At  the Temple  of  Faith & Miracles  the people eagerly  received God’s Word. On  the  first Sunday  they waited  for us for a couple of hours. Service began at 7:30 a.m. and when we arrived at 12 noon, the people were  still  there!! The next week, there were  testimonies of God’s healing power

New Level Of Faith

During  this  trip  the Lord  took me  to  a  new  level  of  faith. He  spoke  to me  regarding  the  date  I  should  return  to Canada. But  there was a challenge – after  the conference I had no place  to stay and no ministry booked. At first I booked my return flight earlier and it was not working out. When I obeyed His leading, everything worked out fine.
When I arrived He provided a safe place, new friends and churches for me to speak on the second Sunday.  Isn’t He wonderful?
He gave me a new friend Dr Maryann, who took me to the home of her nephews and we had a great time together.
We had opportunity to pray for the young men and see God work in a great way.
One of their relatives who was a visitor in their home was very ill. He rededicated his life to Jesus! God healed him and broke bondages in his life. The power of God was in that place.

I thank God for keeping me safe in Nigeria. Thank you to all who were praying.
